“Our Beliefs”

 

  • We believe that God is the creator of all people, the world, the universe, and everything seen and unseen.

  • We believe man has a personal relationship with God and is forgiven when he confesses with his mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believes in his heart that God has raised him from the dead.

  • We believe God gives man the power to change and to be forgiven.

 

  • We believe that man can be transformed by the renewing of his mind through the Word of God.

 

  • We believe that the purpose of man is to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ.

 

  • We believe that God instituted marriage between a man and a woman.

 

  • We believe that servant leadership communicates love and compassion that is essential for growing successful relationships.

 

  •  We believe the family is the primary arena for man to mirror his personal relationship to God.

 

Nate & Evelyn Thomas

Relationship Counselors & Coaches

 

Nate and Evelyn Thomas have been married for over 50 years and have vast experience serving in marriage ministries.

 

Nate and Evelyn are members of True Vision Church, Kirby, Texas.  Together, they provide marriage counseling, teach Pre-Marital and Marriage Relationship classes, and serve as Decision Counselors, discipling individuals in their relationship with Jesus Christ.  Nate and Evelyn speak and teach at couples’ retreats, marriage seminars, and conferences. They have coordinated and led small group ministries and currently host a small group in their home.

 

Nate and Evelyn earned their master’s degrees in counseling from the University of La Verne, La Verne, California. They acquired their certification in Christian Counseling and Coaching with the Biblical Counseling and Coaching Institute.  Presently, they are involved with the San Antonio Marriage Institute and Live the Life, Adventures in Marriage enrichment program.

 

Nate and Evelyn have a wealth of experience in teaching and counseling. Nate is an ordained minister. At Loveland Church, Southern California, he served on the Elder Board, Deacon Board, taught Sunday School and Christian maturity class, discipled and counseled, and worked as Church Administrator.  Nate is a retired Business Manager and High School Teacher.

 

Evelyn served on the Board of Directors of Loveland Christian Academy and co-taught a Christian maturity class.  She is active in Women’s Ministry and programs. She counsels and mentors women and facilitates women’s small groups.  Evelyn is a retired High School Teacher and Counselor.

 

In 1996, their vision to teach, coach, and disciple marriages and individuals in a small setting resulted in YOUR FAMILY MATTERS, INC., a non-profit organization that they founded with the focus on the person, the principle, and the practice of a holy, harmonious, and healthy relationship.
